Alex Eubank 3 weeks after starting testosterone at 200mg

Alex Eubank Responds to Critics Regarding TRT

Alex Eubank defends his decision to hop on TRT+. Let’s keep it real, this is his decision to make and he’s doing it. He answered questions, responded to all the points critics have made, and announced his plans moving forward.

Why Did He Do It?

According to Alex, the decision wasn’t made lightly. He mentioned feeling like crap whenever he’s lean and struggling with low testosterone levels. He’s 24 and said his testosterone dropped to around 350 when his body fat was low, which is why he decided to get on TRT. But it’s not the typical steroid cycles you hear about from hardcore bodybuilders. Alex insists that he’s not “blasting gear” like others might, and instead, he’s on a doctor-prescribed TRT dose of 200 milligrams per week.

It’s worth noting that low testosterone is common when you’re at a very low body fat percentage, and this is not abnormal. His testosterone was about 900 before when he was at a healthier body fat percentage. Having super low body fat might be aesthetically pleasing, but it’s not necessarily healthy.

He did make a point to say he’s not like the bodybuilders who take much higher doses that can push testosterone levels to 5,000-6,000 nanograms per deciliter (which is insanely high). For him, the goal is to stay around 1,000 to 1,200 nanograms per deciliter. He emphasized that this is still within a “healthy” range and that he’s getting his blood work done regularly to monitor everything.

Is He Really Justifying It?

One of the main points Alex made was that he’s doing this for his health and well-being. He doesn’t want people to lump him in with others who use steroids recklessly. He’s also adamant that he’ll never tell his followers to take steroids. In fact, he advises against it unless someone has clinically low testosterone and is prescribed TRT by a doctor.

But let’s be real: Alex’s announcement doesn’t exist in a vacuum. He has a massive platform, and whether he wants to admit it or not, his decision will influence his fans. Some have already started making jokes or blaming him for encouraging others to hop on testosterone, despite his repeated statements that he’s not promoting it.

The Controversy and Mixed Reactions

Alex has been transparent about expecting backlash, and boy, did it come. He acknowledged that people were going to hate on him no matter what. His decision to go public with this puts him in an interesting spot—he’s being honest, which is commendable, but at the same time, it’s hard to shake off the fact that he’s doing something he used to criticize. He’s always been about natural gains, and now that he’s on TRT, some fans feel let down.

He’s clearly aware of how this looks, especially since there are so many people in the fitness industry who take steroids but don’t talk about it. Alex’s defense is that at least he’s being upfront about it. But let’s be honest, transparency doesn’t always soften the blow when someone does something that goes against the values they’ve built their platform on.

The Future for Alex on TRT

One thing that stands out from Alex’s announcement is that he sees TRT as a long-term decision. He mentioned that he plans to stay on it for the rest of his life unless he decides to have kids, at which point he would adjust his protocol. For him, the goal isn’t to get huge; it’s to feel better while maintaining a lean physique.

He even touched on some of the common concerns people have about TRT, like testicular atrophy (yes, shrinking balls). But he reassured his followers that he’s taking HCG to prevent that and maintain fertility. Overall, it seems like Alex is doing this in a way that he believes is safe and healthy, even though it’s a huge shift from where he was before.

My Take on Alex’s Decision

It’s hard to ignore the irony here. Alex Eubank has spent years being the poster boy for natural lifting, only to turn around and do exactly what he’s preached against. While I get that he’s doing it for health reasons and not to bulk up irresponsibly, it still feels a bit like he’s taking a shortcut.

But to give him credit, at least he’s being transparent about it. He could’ve easily kept this under wraps and no one would’ve known. He’s also encouraging his followers not to follow in his footsteps unless they genuinely need TRT. Still, this move definitely changes the way people will see him in the fitness world.

In the end, Alex is doing what he thinks is best for his health and happiness. Whether you agree with it or not, that’s his choice. But it’s hard not to feel like this decision will have a ripple effect, especially on his younger followers who look up to him.

If you ask me, this whole situation is a reminder that fitness influencers, no matter how perfect they seem, are human too. They make decisions, sometimes controversial ones, and the lines between authenticity and contradiction can get blurry.
